What does adventure mean to you?

Mick Fowler – An award-winning British mountaineer and author
Embracing uncertainty. Enjoying the challenge of the unknown. Relishing the prospect of new experiences.

Sam Hamer – Ambitious Rock Climber
Adventure to me is heading off into wild and exciting places with a good team and trying to challenge yourself physically and mentally.

Angelika Rainer – World Champion Ice Climber
Adventure to me means visiting a stunning place and try hard to climb a great line there. Adventure also means to be out in the mountains and in nature. Adventure sometimes means to overcome your fear.

Molly Thompson Smith – Climber and youngest member of the Berghaus team
To me adventure means two things: firstly, pushing yourself to step out of your comfort zone and maybe take a risk or do something you might not want to do again! And secondly, a more relaxed meaning of just going out and exploring things, making memories you look back on for many years.

Steve Birkinshaw – Veteran Mountain Runner
Adventure is doing something that you have never done before. This can be trying a new sport, trying a sport in a new exciting location or pushing yourself further than you have ever been before. You know it is an adventure when you look forward to it with excitement but also a bit of fear of the unknown.
