Chris Chittell, aka Emmerdale’s Eric Pollard, is again being supported by Berghaus as he puts himself, and our kit, to the test in a gruelling charity challenge.

Chris is undertaking his latest adventure alongside three mates from the special forces. After  kickstarting his endeavours on 24th September, he will take on the challenge of completing the Fort William to Cape Wrath 200 mile trail in just seven days.

Speaking of the challenge ahead, Chris comments: “It’s rivers, bogs, trails, no trails, and places that seem as remote as Tibet!”

The expedition team will carry their own kit, food rations and camp in bothies or under the stars. Being no stranger to extreme challenges and poor weather conditions Chris knows the importance of excellent and versatile clothing so will be packing his Berghaus kit.

Chris adds:  “We have set ourselves an exceptionally tough personal challenge as we hope, in a small way this might reflect the extraordinarily challenging and rewarding work the Leukaemia and Lymphoma research charity performs daily! It is a charity very dear to us and we are hoping to reach our target of £1000 per day!”
