Berghaus at Kendal Mountain Festival 2016

The Kendal Mountain Festival is the UK’s premier mountain film festival. It is award-winning and the most diverse event of its type in the world. Inspiring more people to explore, enjoy and represent mountains, wilderness and their cultures.
 
Berghaus will be there and it is an ideal opportunity for you to come and say hello, we love to hear your thoughts on what you think of our products and brand, we value your opinion. This year we are in the Basecamp area not far from the bar (just saying).

What do we have planned?

 

Come to our stand at Basecamp…

 
This year we will have a selection of our all new Extrem range for you to try on, including the award winning 8000 Pro Jacket and Ramche 2.0 jacket.
 
The Berghaus Innovation Lab will be there with interactive activities to demonstrate an insight into our world and how we remain at the top of mountain innovation.
 
There will also be chances to win lots of different prizes throughout the weekend, so make sure you keep an eye out for online competitions and events happening at Berghaus in Basecamp. Including giveaways every two hours!
 
Keep an eye out for the Berghaus event photographer. Doing the rounds Friday 17:00 – 20:00 and Saturday 9:00 – 20:00. Photos displayed on our large screen plus uploaded to our Facebook page at the end of each day.
 
Plus, some special guests making appearances at the stand throughout the day.
 
Including Sir Chris Bonington doing signings of his new book Saturday 16:30 – 18:00 and Sunday 14:00 – 16:00.
 
Leo Houlding and Mick Fowler will also be visiting the stand.

And also a Q&A, Sunday 13:00 -14:00.
 

Also at the festival is the Berghaus Climbing Zone

 
This is a climbing wall 2.44m wide by 3.15m high, angled at 40 degrees and set with a selection of user-friendly holds consisting of crimps, pinches, slopers and pockets. Everyone is welcome here, even if you want to go for a climb for your first time.
 

  • Leo Holding and Molly Thompson will be setting problems on the wall. Can you tackle them!?
  • Molly Thompson-Smith will be at the wall for tips and a chat on Saturday.
  • Climbing challenge competition will be run at the wall to win Extrem 7000 Hoody’s!
  • Plus prizes for all that give climbing a try.

The premiere of this year’s major big-wall climbing film Mirror Wall, featuring Leo Houlding.
 
Friday 18th November @ 18:00 Berghaus are presenting the Mirror Wall premier at the Brewery Arts Centre, with extra seating added to the theatre for Kendal Mountain Festival, this venue holds 360 people. So make sure to get your tickets quick.
 
The Coldhouse Collective film documents the latest expedition from world class climber Leo Houlding and his team as they take on the imposing Mirror Wall, a 1200m vertical tower in the polar mountains of Greenland.
 
Following the film premier will be an opportunity for a Q&A with Leo and Coldhouse Collective, Berghaus will be there with some great give-a-ways and prizes to be won.
