Paclite Jacket – Country Walking

This Paclite II proved very weatherproof on bad days, yet exceedingly easy to carry when it wasn’t needed.  The rollaway hood is easily adjustable and usefully deep, and the peak is stiff enough to withstand some fairly blowy conditions.  The main opening is protected by a substantial external stormflap and the DWR coating worked well throughout the test.  The cuffs are spot-on, plenty long enough with a useful Velcro tab for adjustment, and the hem cinches with an elastic drawcord.  The pockets are well placed with an internal map pocket that will take a map or guidebook, and they also act as vents.  It also comes at an excellent price and makes a worthy runner up.

Lost my paclite yesterday. I have had it for about 9 years and it was like new even though I have used it hundreds of times. I will have to buy another as soon as I get a spare £150. Until then I will have to suffer the rain
