Berghaus has added to its Extrem range with new lightweight clothing for summer climbing and mountaineering. Technical waterproof and fleece jackets for men and women complement the existing collection and complete a comprehensive range of high performance apparel.
The men’s and women’s Mount Asgard Stretch jackets feature a combination of GORE-TEX® Active fabric with two way stretch for outstanding freedom of movement (enhanced by diamond underarm gussets), and a reinforced version of Active on the shoulders for added durability when used with a pack.
The helmet compatible Asgard hood has been refined to improve ease of use – the rear adjusters are now located inside. The jackets continue to use the highly effective 3D venting system that was developed by the MtnHaus® design team, which keeps the torso cool and reduces humidity around the body during action. The men’s and women’s Mount Asgard jackets retail at £270.
The men’s Smoulder Light fleece jacket is a lightweight (315g for size large) and efficient summer insulation layer in two weights of POLARTEC® POWER DRY® High Efficiency™, delivering different levels of warmth depending on where it is needed. The fabric has been treated with POLYGIENE® odour resistant technology, which also helps provide protection from the sun. Simply, essential features, such as two zipped pockets and thumb loops, and a technical fit, complete this attractive addition to the collection, which retails at £85.
The extremely lightweight women’s Deverse Hoody Jacket is also made out of POLARTEC® POWER DRY® High Efficiency™ with POLYGIENE®. At 140g (size 12) this full zip jacket delivers an excellent combination of summer insulation and moisture management. A simple hood and thumb loops help provide additional insulation, while the streamlined cut allows for great freedom of movement on crag or hill. The Deverse Hoody jacket retails at £80.
